I am in a Hardcore(metal) band, and we are all in high school and dont have a lot of money. We would like to Start Recording are music though. i do have a Farly fast PC a little extra cash 500$ some Dynamic Mics (4-5) and 1 Condencer. and a power mixer. Oh i also have a lot of sound proffing. What are some of the Basic things that i will need to make a functional Home Studio?

You have to refine that to include the reorganizing of the letters must be out of a word that is spelled correctly to begin with.

To begin with, a better command of the English language along with better spelling would help but in lieu of that, you could use your powered mixer and your computers soundcard input to record a 2 channel mix, of everything at once but I assume you want to try multitrack " tracking"?
With your budget of $500 you might want to look at a used ADAT 8 track digital recorder and a Alesis PCI card with an optical input/output along with an entry-level multitrack software program. Of which there are many and I am sure other people here will recommend many different kinds. With the above suggestions you could record 8 simultaneous inputs to the multitrack digital recorder and then dump it into the computer and be able to process with the available software a multitude of effects, compressor/monitors, equalizer's, reverbs, delays, etc. and then mixed down within the computer to a stereo master and burned to a CD. You could also use the old ADAT as a multitrack interface for input and output purposes to the computer without even bothering with the tape.
Conversely you could go down to your local music store and investigate the numerous different kinds of multitrack computer interfaces but within your budget, chances are you won't find much more than numeral for simultaneous inputs with some bundled software. If you can save up a few more hundred dollars and get into the $800 to $1000 bracket, you would have no problem finding a computer interface with 8 Channel input capability and associated bundled software. Companies such as Beringer, MOTU (mark of the unicorn), Presonus have a very nice multitrack input interfaces, some of which are USB 2.0, Fire wire or a required internal PCI card that will get you started.
The beautiful thing about recording in your computer, with something like an 8 track interface is the ability to record far more than 8 tracks! Generally most of the multitrack software these days, allow for up to 64 or more tracks so that anything after your initial 8 inputs are all referred to in the computer as " virtual tracks"! Truly a cool way to go!
Go to your local music store and picked up some recording trade publications, they usually have a couple and start looking to all of the advertisements. You will see what I'm talking about.
