I upgraded to some high end converters recently. The A/D has AES and SPDIF output. I have an M-Audio 24/96 soundcard already installed and was planning on running the SPDIF signal through the 24/96.

I'm assuming that using a lower end soundcard like the 24/96 isn't going to compromise the audio since all the conversion is taking place in the high end converters, correct? Any issues with this set up?
