I'm trying to connect a Shure SM57 microphone to computer. I have Shure SM57 XL2 to TS connected to Behringer Mic800, and TS (unbalanced) to 1/4" line-in connected to a splitter to both L &R the line-in on the Audiophile 192.
I can't seem to receive a signal using the setup.
Using just my computer's built-in soundcard, I receive a very faint signal from Shure SM57 to Behringer Mic 800 to built-in soundcard...
Any idea what I should try next to get this to work?
Also... Does anyone have experience with the Audiophile - is there anything I need to tweak in its control panel to receive the signal? (The manual explains what everything is, but doesn't include a troubleshooting section..)

The TRS line input of the MIC800 does not have enough gain. You need to connect the SM57 to the XLR input of the MIC800 using an XLR(F) to XLR(M) cable. Leave the phantom power switched off, as it is not needed for a dynamic mic like the 57.
The output of the MIC800 should drive the Audiophile 192 correctly, either a single channel or both channels via a splitter, although I can't think why you would want to split this way. All you need to is create a mono track in your DAW software and pan it centrally.
