Can someone recommend some good add on reverb effects to use with midi files in Cakewalk. The Cakewalk midi effects just plain stink. I have tons of other VST and DXI plugins for audio but nothing for the midi that I have created.

TIA.

If I understand correctly, MIDI effects only affect note data such as note on, note off, sustain, velocity, etc. MIDI effects do nothing to the sound. Common MIDI effects are: chord creation and arpeggios (adding matching notes), delay (repeating MIDI notes and reducing velocity). The only MIDI reverb control there is acts as a send level control within a sound module that has built in effects such as reverb and chorus.

I don't think you will find a MIDI reverb. The only way I think a MIDI reverb would work is a combination of sustain pedal and velocity; and your sound module will have to support this stuff.

Hope this helps.
