so if i record on two different systems and lets say a need a tracks from one put on the other system, what is the best way to do this? ill just have certain drum parts on one machine, no effects or anythin, i just want the basic file at full quality, how do i do this my friends?

Make sure that you consolidate all the tracks down so that they all have the same starting point and no gaps. I don't know what software you're using, but in Pro Tools, I always consolidate the tracks...basically renedering a complete .wav file out of what might have been a bunch of little chunks in the audio from editing, etc.
That way when the other engineer imports them in, he can just make sure everything is lined up against 0 sec. and he's good to go.
As far as finding the files, your program should have an audio files folder somewhere. You also probably would want to use your program's built in function to delete any audio files that are currently being used on a track. Otherwise, it can get kind of confusing with a 100 audio files in a folder. Label them well also.

consolidate the tracks, copy the folder with the PT session to the other computer (dvd or cd-r if it can fit (doubtful). (do not burn the wav's to a music cd, copy the files as data)
then do an import, select the pt session from computer 2 and then you will have your tracks in session 1.
be warned that things might get weird if you are not syncing time between systems.

what is the time stamp button and what does it do?
and when u guys say consolidate, u mean......? have the tracks named to what they are ie bass drum snare, rather than just audio1...
and also, sorry im new to pro tools, whenever u record, it is saved, even if u delete the file from the mix window. is this so? why do i want all of these other "takes" just taking up space?
well why don't you just copy the files you recorded from one com
well why don't you just copy the files you recorded from one computer to another..you can just connect both systems through LAN or you can copy them on cd and transfer to other system.... don't re-render the files you recorded copy the source file from the directory where you recorded....
