I need some help, I've been using my Korg console (XD32) for a little bit now, and recently have been getting some projects with it, (before I used completely different equipment but had to switch for budget reasons, and I'm sure anybody that read my previous post, the only thing they hear is about my Korg, but anyway), and I was wondering, when the Korg burns CD's, it uses .CDa format. I would like to make a decent master in .wav format. What's the best way to go about that transferring that? I've been getting by, but now I need to start working on a master. Should I purchase a program that would just immediately convert the types, or should I upload track to track to a computer software mixing program (since I don't use much with my computer, I only have a freeware program right now). Sorry for anything I missed, I've had a busy and tiresome week.

The "copy from cd" option in windows media player 9 removes the .cda extension and reveals the .wav extension. You probably already have media player on your machine.
.cda is just an extension, it's not a compression format. The format is still .wav and .cda is just a track reference for cd players.
