ok...let me try once again

i got the turntable...i got a Firewire solo..and using adobe audition..

Do i need anything else...cause right now all i could do is connect the turntable to the firewire S/PDIF in&out ...

If i dont need anything else...how can i make this work?..

please help..thank you

Er, no.

S/PDIF is a digital interface standard and you can't connect an analog source to it, even if they happen to use the same type of RCA connectors.

Also, the signal from a magnetic cartridge on a turntable needs amplifying and correcting in frequency to get the correct response.

Your best plan is to get a phono pre-amp from Maplins/RadioShack or wherever and plug the output of that into the line inputs of the Solo. The phono pre-amp does the required frequency correction and pre-amplification. You will need a stereo cable to go from the pre-amp outputs (probably RCA jacks) to the Solo line inputs (two 1/4" mono jack plugs).
