Hearing Health

Without wanting to state the obvious,
I would like to suggest some advice for those who happen to have embarked on their home recording projects. It may also serve to remind all of us of the importance of looking after our precious hearing.
Our hearing is THE most important element in our work.
But much more important - it is part of our very being.

Further question regarding building an audio PC

Right, my original plan for the CPU was AMD 4200+ 64bit however, the 3800+ 64bit is £70 cheaper.

I've got a load of foreign quests (metal festivals and such), and the extra £70 saved would be cool.

Now, my music is heavy metal. i use Drumkit from Hell superior, Kontakt 2 and my pod XT pretty much.

Writing a click track

Sooooo... we have a recently formed unit that's starting out as a Queensryche tribute then using that set as the basis to proceed with original music. Our drummer had never listened to QR until I turned him onto them, but he's 50ish with a very nice kit, and has gone through the years playing Zappa, Rush, Police, Yes etc. There's no doubt he can play the stuff.

Take a listen...

Hey guys (and Remy), I'm back with a practice session recorded in my basement studio. I'm hoping you could lend your ears and give me some tips and constructive criticism as I prepare to do the full LP. This band is known for thier tremendous stage presence, the album is going to be a representation of that by making it feel as live as the studio will allow.
