Here is another test I did today to compare Sound Devices Mixpre-6 vs Tascam HS-P82.
It's not a strictly scientific test, but I think one can get the taste of how both recorders compare in sonic quality.
One of them is called Recorder_01, the other is Recorder_02, for obvious reasons.
As there was a bit of discussion recently whether peak normalizing tracks to compare different mics or recorders is bad or not, I did some testing for myself.
Anyone else seen the publicity shots for the Biopic, showing 'Judy Garland' singing into a ... British Grampian DP4 (or DP-8 - can't see the switch) microphone? Never a good mic, these were omni, had absolutely no warmth whatsoever, no proximity effect and a 'classic' mic that never ever cut it.

It's been a slow process, that has thus far involved removing water heaters, and breaking up the concrete floor to re-route the water main so that I have a relatively unobstructed floor space to work with.

I'm just about to buy this as I'm doing much more orchestral stuff and my ancient colossus and native instruments personal orchestra aren't quite good enough any longer when exposed in a less busy orchestration. Their videos on YouTube are excellent, and the blessing of instruments will be a boon for me, rather than have strict divisions between violins, violas and cellos.

I use Logic for sound design and MIDI many years but, I use Samplitude/Sequoia for Mix and Mastering. there is something that caught my attention about Eq quality. eq116 this eq is the cleanest eq I've ever heard.

Did you know Magix had a remote app for your phone ? It works with many of their audio products.
As for now only the transport is worth it for me, but it works like a charm!
I didn't even had to setup anything, except being connected to the same network.
No need to put empty measures hit record and run to my drum anymore..
