Lately I have been listening to the Santana albums recorded in the late 70's. Particularly the albums Festival, Moonflower, Inner Secrets, and Marathon. I was wondering if any of the members on here had worked with any of those recording sessions and can provide any information as to how they were tracked and mixed.

From time to time I hold Jams for the local music-guys in my studio.
Thats perfect for me to drop in some mics and experiment with less microfones than I would use on clients or do things differently than usual.

Since this most recent W10 update ("Fall Creator's Update) my machine is really unstable with DAW production.
1. Is there a way I can roll back this latest update? OR
2. Is there a way I can just dump W10 ( which honestly I've never really cared for) and roll back to my previous W8.1 OS?

Running Cubase AI 9.5 under Windows 10. I'd like to add MIDI plugin effects.

• When I download one, in which folder should it be stored?
• How do I then apply it to a MIDI track, as there are no MIDI plugins installed with Cubase AI?

could anyone help me figure out how to bring two stereo signals from a Soundcraft EPM12 into the two (line) inputs of a Xone:23 ?

I'm currently trying to use my new RODE NT1 microphone to record into ableton. I am using a Scarlett Focusrite 2i4 as my audio interface. I am aware of the need for phantom power and have the '48v' button switched on on my interface. Although I have the phantom power on the interface seems to be receiving no signal from the microphone.

So I stumbled on this website to find information from pros on what studio equipment to buy for a small home studio. I plan on using it to mix and master my vocals. If someone could give me a list on what to get i'd appreciate it, My budget is $3500 max, As far as the programs,mic,anything else I need .. I just need to know what to get then i'll learn from there. Thank you and God bless.

Well for years I have been running on "budget builds" ... mainly from the point of view that there needed to be a significant improvement in processing and storage management to justify the expense of a new machine ..
