Don't you dare say music is dead !
I've heard that a few times when people talk about main stream, computer music, autotune and how the music business is turning to fast cash directions...
Let me tell you, I know a lot of really good musicians and as long as we keep the pursue of being the best we can at what we do, we will win the industry battle ;)
Here's an exemple of production/event I found recently :

Problem sending midi notes to external hardware in Ableton Live 9 Suite
I want to use Ableton Live 9 Suite to play some background tracks while performing live.
One track is configured to send midi notes to an external drum machine. This drum machine have a built in bass line that plays through a bass amp. I'm just interested in the bass line, which is triggered on channel 8 of Ableton (and other sequencers).
ADM 1540 Equalizer
So I was given a free pair of (what seem to look old) ADM 1540 equalizers today and I'm very unfamiliar with the product. I am not finding much info online. The ones I'm seeing online have the actual number "1540" engraved next to "ADM" but mine do not. I attached a photo. Any info on worth or the year it was made would be great. I've attached a photo.

Another Song For my 80's, Sunset-Strip-Scene Inspired Rock CD, "In the Moonlight" FB?
Here's another song for what I'm calling my "New Classic Rock," CD called "In the Moonlight". LMKWYT of this mix.
The higher numbered track is the most recent mix.
Live recording, mixed at home
Here's something I'm working on for fun. I'm pretty happy with where the mix is going but certainly open to critique. Used an XLR split from the house mics plus a few mics of my own to my GB2R/HD24 setup.
Mixed and mastered at home on my 5.1 system, though mostly in 2.1 mode.
(Beware the F-bomb at the start if you're at work or whatever.)

Behringer C1-U noise when recording
I bought Behringer C1-U microphone and I would like to ask about this noise I get when recording. You can hear the noise in this short recording https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxEYfpSTfDGJTTRDOEpMWkpTdGc/view?usp=sharing My question is, what causes that noise.

The Science of Sample Rates (When Higher Is Better — And When it Isn’t)
The title says it all really...
Here's a Song Called "Jet Surfer" Plz Give FB
Here is another crazy tune called Jet Surfer. It uses a picked bass for the bass track, which sometimes lends itself to a deficient bottom end, but let me know. There is an effect in the beginning of the song (don't let that scare you off), then just guitar and drums before the 1st verse, which starts at about 0.31. Let me know how all the instruments are sitting in the mix.
