my band is researching some potential mixing engineers to hire to mix each of our 2 CDs. each has ~70 minutes worth of music on them. approx. how many 12 hour days should we budget for to mix that much music? the songs are fairly long, if that makes a difference - the first CD has 8 songs and the second has 9.

I just ordered a MXL V67M from Mars (after many recommend's)and shockmount. I've used a cad95ni small-dia. cond. mic, but this is my first ld mic. I'll be using my art tube mp for phant./pre. I know ldm's are supposed to be very sensitive and I hear you can mess em' up easy.

I built my ANUS a couple of weeks ago - P4B266/1.6a - installed Partition Magic, moved some partitions, and had my stystem lock-up. It went into the usualy "Windows Startup Menu" where you select "Normal", "SafeMode", etc. I've since reinstalled Windows 98, and the same Startup screen keeps coming up, although everything boots just fine. It works, but it's slightly annoying.

Is it possible to tweak the pluginsduring automation?

Please excuse me on this, but I just got it this week and from doing a few mixes I noticed it has a terible Digital pop at almost every beginning and end.

What am I doing wrong?

Well, I am an idiot. I got an Aardvark Q10 (which is ugly, but otherwise fits my need for one of my computers) without bothering to check if they had a Windows 2000 driver available (I mean, who doesn't?). They're in some sort of post-beta, pre-release mode that you have to apply to take part in, which I have.

hey i just up graded my mobo from an asus a7m266 w/1333 athalon to an MSI k7t266 pro w/xp2000+ everything is working fine and I love the power boost but I have a new wierd little sounds that has ruined a few really goo takes and I need to fix it? please let me know in this thread what info the forum will need to discover this little foible in my rig
