What the hell ?

I'm using a sound blaster platinum 5.1 sound card.
I know, it's consumer standard but it was a start.
I deal with latency everday. ahhh. Could someone explain the whole Asio driver technology, where one can get it and what it does.

the specs on Alesis look good, and especially the price looks good, however, there seems to be some resentment towards Alesis ... can somebody please educate me ? (seriously, i don't know much)

I will be borrowing a Sony UVW-1800 BeTascam sp deck and Black burst box.
And of course the 001

Questions:
1. With this (stuff) can I set up LE to sync to the 1800 without drift?

Hi, this question may sound silly but I'm new to MacOs and would like to find a replacement for Fruity Loops or something like that, which allows to easily and quickly produce some electronic loop-based music... maybe reason, phrazer? what would you recommend?

Holy crap! My NS-10's went for $470 via Ebay auction. Unbelievable.

Now I can get a shielded pair to have around the computer. I'm thinking Tannoy Reveals but have to take a listen to other monitors in that price range before making a final decision.
