KRK vs. . NS 10 monitors

I've been working for a year now with NS-10s on one room and krk k-rok on another. The NS-10s have a small sub to help the bass. Althogh I like the krk's I keep coming back to the 10's and I'm always shocked at the difference - in comparison the 10's sound muffled but somehow they highlight problems that the krk's don't (levels, reverb lengths and low-mid junk).

Which HDR for Client "Bedroom" collaborations

Lately clients have been asking me for recommendations as to which of the current crop of hardware hard disk recorders they should buy. Their goal is to be able to take mixes of rhythm tracks, etc. that they do in my studio back to their "bedroom" so that they can add some overdubs at their leisure, without the pressure of my clock running.

DA-88 TO PC HD

I have a DA-88 with a broken transport.
My question...

Can I use a PCI-822 TDIF,and my computer HD to capture my tracks instead of the tape?. What software would I need.

I just want to use the DA/AD converters in the DA-88 and capture up to 8 tracks at a time to HD
Advice please
Jeff

multiple i/o's

I am a pretty bad guitar player, wanting to get into diy recording. I have cakewalk's home studio & clubtracks. These programs are fine I guess, but I am thinking of upgrading to something like Sonar or maybe one of rolands v studios. My question is this, what do I really need multiple I/O's for.
