Hey everybody. My name is Adam and I am a new member here. The reason that I am here is I am here is to obtain information about creating a very simple, effective and inexpensive home set up that I can use to record improvs. and jams in my home so that I can build a reference library of riffs that I can use to help in writing projects.

Teac has closed their Montebello, CA location.

They've been there for years.

I don't think that they are folding up or anything, but it sure looks like they are certainly downsizing, which can also be a pretty bad word, too.

I wonder how many of us here got our start on Teac/Tascam gear...

I'm not sure what section this should go in so I'm posting here.

I have a Roland RD700SX digital piano and a Ketron SD1000 sound module.I need to have software and the hardware to run it.I want to connect them up together via USB.At the moment the piano and module are connected by Midi cable from Piano Out to Midi In (module),with dual RCA's L-R to Tascam digital recorder.

A friend of mine called me yesterday... he had been helping a friend of his clean out the house of the friend's father who recently passed.

He had called to ask me if I wanted an old R t R tape recorder that they found in a closet. I told him that I absolutely did, that I'd love to see what he had.

We're on a bigger machine than yesterday. lol. Is it noticeable. Probably not right. :LOL: :whistle:

We have a pile of space and room to grow now. Maybe I'll be dead before I need to worry about doing this again lol.
