How can i record electric drums to multitracks?
i have a Roland Vdrum TD-8 Module and a Alesis 1622 mixer... i have to record raw electric drums (played) onto Cool Edit v2.0 (that's all i got)
i'm not doing anything fancy, i just need to record each drum on a seperate track to my computer (Cool Edit v2.0 Recording Software). i just have one input on my computer to send the drums.
Tips on drums
I have been trying to replicate drums of a song but i know what i need but don't know how to achieve it. Been trying for hours to get the kick to have a punch but sound very tight whilst equally keeping the symbols soft and drawn out and relaxed..
And the toms seem a bit off to me too but i aint totally sure what the toms need as I'm currently needing help on the kick and cymbals.

ElectroVoice-PL-DK7-Drum pack?
Hi everyone!
I need mics to record my drumkit into my FF800.
As I was looking for some ideas, I have found this kit which seems not bad at all and in my price range!
the ElectroVoice-PL-DK7-Drum-Mic-Pack
I like the RE20 and believe that Electro-Voice is a brand I can trust, BUT, today everybody is launching his own drums kit which can be cheap on sound and quality.

How to beef up drums.
... without rerecording them.
I recorded drums for a hardrock/funk kind of song, something similar to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I used one kick and one overhead to mic the kit. I wanted kind of an older sound, kind of like Ringo. While good in theory, it hasn't been good in practice.

Has anyone used ocean way drums?
I currently have BFD 1 and I am considering upgrading. They are pretty pricey though and I am wondering if its worth it. From the demos it sounds amazing. Any have any experience with ocean way drums?
thanks
