That Snappy Compressed Snare Sound
I have been recording bands for about 2 years but I am having a hard time tuning in my snare sound. I always replace it with drumagog. How can I get a great snappy pop out of the snare with what I am using? I have some sm57s and 421s, an 1176, and tons of plugins in Pro Tools.

Recording Drums using 4 mics
If I wanted to record a 5 piece drum set using 4 mics, would I mic the bass drum, snare and then use 2 overheads?

Drums with Battery & Logic Pro
Hi guys
just a quick question that may be a little silly but I am slighty confussed what to do.
All I basically want to know is should I use a Mono or stereo output from NI's battery into logic for my Kick, Hats, snare's etc etc.
I am starting out producing electronic music and am insure if I should use a mono or stereo signal for each different sound.

Tracking Electronic Drums
Hello, I want to practice and record using an electronic drumset and guitar, bass etc.. and record to a multitrack unit. The guitar will have a podxt and the bass will be direct so no mics will be used. I was wondering if: instead of using headphones while tracking if I could use Fostex PM0.4 monitors to monitor the sound.
