Recording drums via Alesis SR-16
I have an SR-16 which i think sounds quite good and am recording some Heavy Rock tracks using Pro Tools via my new POD XT Live.
(If you want to get great guitar sounds and a unit thats easy to program via Line 6 edit using your mouse so you dont have to keep reaching down to the floor to tweak nobs and punch buttons get one of these!)

Getting loudness from drums
So there are like 10127834 topics on drums right now. That's cool, I just don't want to jack everyone else's thread.
This a question about loudness. I LIKE the sounds I am getting from my drums, but it is very low.

Basics for Recording Percussionist
Greetings all,
Can any of you point me in the right direction for some basics on recording a percussionist in a studio setting? I need info on suitable mics and placement for a variety of percussion instruments - ranging from congas to triangle and other metallic-sounding items.
Thanks in advance. John F.

V-drums sound damping
I have a set of V-drums and live in a 2nd story apartment. I need to reduce to sound transmitted through the floor when I hit the foot pedals. The floor has carpet and I also have 3 area rugs available as well as sheets of particle board and laminate plywood. What would be the best way to do this?
