Lisa Marie Presley Drums
I recently checked out the tune The Road Between on Lisa Marie Presley first record. I'm wandering how they created that dirty lo-fi sound. The drummer on the track is Matt Chamberlain and it was mixed by Tom Lord-Alge. Any thoughts?

Too much hi-hat bleed in snare mic
What are some techniques for reducing splashy hi-hat bleed in the snare mic during tracking? When I compress the snare during mixing, there is way too much hi-hat bleed. I'ved used soundreplacer in the past, but I find that it eliminates the subtle nuances of the drummers performance. Please advise.
Thanks,
Benny

Want to FInd good Acid country and swing drums
Hi all,
Most clients I have inevitably ask me to provide drums for them.
I have found it much easier to construct some percussion stems from
Acid and fly them (well, hand walk them actually) into Cubase...
BUT, whereas I have all the rock and funk and house and trance (ad nauseum)..

VST drums needed
I work with Cubase. What would be a good natural sounding VST drum set? Preferably with a nice set of MIDI grooves included and some percussion next to basic sounds. It needs to be affordable. I am just an amateur musician. My budget is around $ 200.
Could Groove Agent 2.0 be the one?

Recording drums Tube prees before or after?
I'm recording drums 8 tracks into logic 7.
what is the difference of bouncing every channel thru a singel mic preamp
after they were recorded vs recording every track with its own mic preamp?
I'm going thru a digimax 96 thru a 2408 mk2.
ive been using my peavey vmp 2 tube pre for the overheads two mk 12
and an mp 20 for kick and snare.

Micing drums for a rock band in my studio for the 1st time
I own a small semi private studio in which i've done a lot of & gotten pretty good with recording & engineering vocals, electronic/digital gear and Guitars. However i have been asked by a friend to consider recording a project with a rock band using all real instruments and have no experience at all with Micing drums. I have listed my euipment below..
Best mics for recording drums
I'm preparing to produce my first of many, more following, live recording sessions in the studio. This a transition I've been looking forward to and want to start off on the best foot possible. I will be recording live bass, guitar, keyboard and drums. I believe I'm fine for everything except for the drums. I've been looking to better equip my mic cabinet and now I'm being forced to.

Beginnger here... multi-tracking /recording drums question
Hey. Bare with me and my ignorance for I have just started delving into the world of recording on PC. Well, I should say in general. I've only fooled around a bit with analog. Things seem to be going fine for me as far as recording vocals and instruments... but I was thinking about recording drums today. How do I go about recording drums...
