recording drums w/console in same room
hello...does anybody have tips on tracking a drumkit that's in the same room as the console? I've tracked drums many times, but never while I'm in the same room. The room is about 700 sq feet. Mic placement shouldn't be too hard and once I get good test sounds to tape, I can just monitor the meters.
what do you guys think?

Beat Detective on drums
I mentioned in other posts about this project I'm working on in PT and 10 drum tracks.
So how do I use beat detective on 10 tracks? I've used it on bass, and piano with much success, but when it comes to drums, I'm baffled, even though it's probably the easiest way to use it.

Augmenting Acoustic Drums With Samples-Help!
I hope I'm in the right forum for this...
I'm recording an acoustic drum kit into Samplitude V8 via a MOTU 2408 MKII.
I want to add-to/replace recorded drum sounds with samples like I hear about everyone else doing who records rock/metal drums.
What do I need to buy. triggers? software? sampler?
I have no clue. Help..please!
midi drums silenced when audio tracks are mixed down
hey all,
my first time posting here...so a big hello to all...cool forums you've got here!
i've just started putting some of my own ideas into recordings lately and have had one problem i've run across so far (i'm sure i'll run into many more in the future...but these forums are definitely helping to prevent that)
SYNC : Drumstation ---> Korg polysix ARP IN
Hello studio freaks!
I`ve got a Korg polysix (whick i love, hehe) and would like to know if it is possible to syncing the arp`s tempo from the DIN out of my novation drum station (it uses ROLAND`s tr900 and tr808 connection at 24ppqn) to the ARP in of my 26 year old Korg polysix!
Is there a DIN to JACK lead for the polysix?
Thanks!

Reverbs on hi hat and snare / Carter Beauford
What kind of reverb and what settings are applied to hi hat and snare on Dave Mathews albums "Stand up" and "Everyday" It's like the old Yamaha SPX 90's "Plate" very short ambience. Can I get that setting in any of Logic Express reverbs? HEEEEELP

Reverbs on hi hat and snare on Dave Mathews "Stand up&q
Can you tell me what kind of reverb settings for hi hat and snare have been used on the albums "Stand up" and "Everyday" by Dave Mathews. I am wondering if they add an extremely short delay also. Can you get those settings with the reverbs in Logic Express? Thank you
