I cannot afford to get Pro Tools HD, I need at least 24 analog out in order to mix outside the box on analog mixer and using outboard gear

so my question is, is MOTU HD as good or nearly as good as PTHD? or at least is it way better thatn using a Digi002?

Hey guys. i seem to be having a hard time figuring out if Ableton will be able to record all 8 tracks from my Firepod at the same time. I cant find anything about multitracking on it.

Hey I'm trying to figure out whats best for my mini studio. Im trying to add instruments to my audio and guitar recordings and i wish to record and create from varied genres though mostly rock. Should i get a Yamaha motif(or mo6), Cubase with its vst instruments or reason 4 with a midi keyboard. which sounds better, has the most instruments and has the most creative freedom?

I did a search for this and didnt find anything, although Im sure its been taled about...

I just became manager of a studio and am going from the PC world to Mac Pro Tools. Its all alien to me.

Heres basically what we have:

i need to do a bass drop in a couple songs that I'm recording for a band.
I'm not sure if thats the right term or not but its the sound you hear that sounds like a dropout.
if you could help me and advise me on how to do it i would be greatly appreciative.

Does anyone know how to export a rpoject from Pro Tools to Cubase or any other DAW? Any input would be very appreciated.

How can I transfer project from pro tools m-powered pc version to logic 8 on mac? As far as I can remember Mac does not support wav format. And I think all tracks were recorded in wav. Help please, I am new to mac.

I have received my Master CD proof two days ago from this Mastering Studio in NJ.
I have to admit that it really IS beneficial to use “fresh pair of ears”, and if you can afford it, let somebody else do the mastering for you (if you have previously spent many hours of recording and mixing your own material).
