Hi, Do I have to have an mbox or w/e just so Pro Tools can run? Cuz i have a mixer that i was going to record tracks into another program and then export them to Pro Tools so i would have no use for a Digidesign Pro Tools hardware like an mbox. Can that work?

Here it is in black and white "I like the tone of reasons scream distortion module". There I said it, maybe its a bit embarassing, but its a guilty pleasure I have. I sample my drums from Pro Tools and import them as .wav files into reason to eff them up ALOT. Did i mention i do this to live drums that my drummer plays? I think i also failed to mention its multi tracked drums i do this too.

My genre is Rap/Crunk/Freestyle/R&B something like that. Some newschool stuff.
Currently using Adobe Audition 2.0 but thinking of Moving to Cubase SX because of better routing options. And because Audition is a CPU/RAM hog.

In 2005 I purchased the Waves IR-1 Native Reverb. Nearly 2 years later my computer crashed and I had to reinstall Waves IR-1. (I've come to find out that Waves no longer uses disk based authorization. Instead they now use an Ilok USB key.) When I tried to authorize the software again, Waves would NOT allow it.

Im wanting to know what DVD Authoring software you recommend.

i'm goin to rent some very pro preamps to see if i want to make the next step in my recording business and buy some nice pro quality preamps to make my recordings one step a head of the competition, goin to use for kick and snare primarily but any pro preamp should sound good on everything compared to stock preamps, the genres i record are mostly emo/scream/rock/metal/acoustic/hardcore.

You folks must have all been through this quandry, perhaps you can advise me?
