VST Instrument installation in Nuendo
I'm a newbie in the game and I just wonder how do I install more vst instuments to nuendo?
A friend of mine have all these cool instuments and I want to install them onto my computer.
We use nuendo at school, but we haven't learned to install new instruments (propably because they're afraid of viruses etc).
Anyone know how to do it? :)

Mackie d8b, bright sounding?
I've been working on a d8b for some years now and I've read that some say it's kinda bright sounding, which also is my own conclusion. It's always a struggle with the knobs to make recordings sound more warm and full. I'd like to hear som opinions on what makes the d8b so bright. Is it only the pres or is it the entire design of the mixer that's to blame?

chameleon labs anyone heard it?
I guess these guys just release this at NAMM, a friend of mine told me they are based on the design of the Neve 31102.
Anybody know anything about it?
It's a very attractive price.

AKG 414s which are best?
There seems to be so many types of AKG 414s out there. Can anyone explain the different versions, what makes them different, and what is best?
THANKS.

Pro Tools Aux Question
Is it common to have mics to auxs and then to an audio track.
Example: E. Guitar.
3 mics
3 auxs
1 audio track
Use three mics on the guitar cab, Then create three mono auxes for each mic. Send three auxs to audio track. Listen to each mic and adjust each aux accordingly to get desired sound to the audio track and then record.

Encompassing Effects
Im not very familiar with the idea of mastering, but I was wondering if it is common to apply a single effect to an entire track to give it a certain quality or are effects only used on a per instrument basis? Also, where might one find some solid web-based articles on mastering? Lots 'o bad info out there apparently.
Thanks
Brett
