Cubase SX / Drum Editor

Hi,
I'm learning a lot about Cubase SX and things are going well.

I recently created a song using the drum editor and went to mixdown to a CD and the drum editor track did not mix down. I'm using Reason and those MIDI tracks mixed down, so I don't understand what's going on.

I have read the manual and can't seem to find it in there.

What the hell's music coming to?

Between bad remakes of great songs and rediculously loud CD's...is there anything to look forward to in music?

*Why is it so many crappy bands feel compelled to screw up a perfectly great song by putting there signature on it? Is this EGO, or are they running out of their own crappy ideas and still need to to make a record?

Choosing between Waves Gold and TC Powercore

I'm pretty much a newbie to the world of plugins but I'm looking to upgrade my sound and everything I read keeps pointing me toward better quality EQ and reverbs. At the moment, I'm running a MOTU 1224 into a G4800, with Audio Desk as my software. In about a month, I plan to upgrade to Digital Performer.

How much individual compression/limiting on elements of

I am completing my electronic "Dance?" album. I have gone through and read most of the posts about Mastering and how much room to leave for the mastering engineer. In my mix I am busing all the drums to a stereo fader and using the Waves L1 Ultramximizer at about 3-9 db of reductio. Bass sounds I am compressing pretty hard at about -8 of reduction on the trransients at a 4-6:1 ratio.

Need some mixing advice for Electronic Project

I am trying to finish my own personal electronic "Dance?" album. I have sampled most most all of the Kicks, snares, hats etc. to make up the percussion section off of vinyl and CDs. Some of this music is pseudo Hip-Hop, House and other forms of electrinica. I am using Pro-Tools Digi 001 with a Manley, Avalon pre and the full Waves plugin package.

Any mixing suggestions for Electronic Muisc?

Wavelab bit rate issues

Hey guys. I have a delima. I started a project a couple years go and did three songs recorded at 44.lk/16 bit. Since then, I moved up to 44.1/24 bit. When I open my mixes in Wavelab 4.0, the 16 bit mixes have some type of digital distortion or something and I noticed some "unders" when looking at the bit meter. Has anyone ever heard of this?
