Gear: PC running Sonar, MOTU 828, AI-3 ADAT to analog converter.

Does anyone have strong opinions regarding one or the other of these products?

Are there more wave editing capabilities in Sonar2 XL as opposed to Cakewalk Pro 8? Thanks in advance. ~~~Lee

Greetings from Jamaica. I'm not a tech wizard like many on this forum, and would appreciate any sort of help to get me going.

When mixing several tracks, what are the basics in order to get a coherant sound? How do you go about making several seperate tracks 'blend' to sound as one musical performance? I have been experimenting with this just a bit, and would like to hear some of the more experianced folks approach. Do you use some reverb on the whole mix? Would you still use differant reverbs on differant parts etc.

Anyone who's got pics of their studios, instruments, gear, etc. that don't have obvious brand names showing on them, and wouldn't mind the images being used in web design, post 'em here, or send 'em to my e-mail, plueeeze

I just wander if you have any experience with UAD-1 powered plugins card made by Univesal Audio and distributed by Mackie? I am mixing almost entirely (except that sometimes i reamp or use external reverb) in Logic Audio 5.10, and I'm a bit tired with the sound quality of software plugins. I heard that UAD-1 sounds really great.

i have the opportunity to get an eventide d3500 ulltraharmonizer for around 700-800 $US...is this a good deal and what does anyone think of it. i've never used one but played with it and it sounds pretty huge..what would it's applications be? thanks mark
