OK, I finally got all the things I think I need to make semi professional if not a professional sounding CD in my bedroom, since nothing else goes on there now. :( .

I have the Roland VS 2400 with expansion board, Antares pitch correction, UA compressor bundle with the Massenberg EQ and IK mastering plugins coming from Roland(rebate). Plus a mouse and monitor.

Would it work with my emu 0404 sound card? becuase it does have midi ins and outs, but i wasn't sure if I had to go through a mixer becuase my Behringer 502 doesn't connect midi.

Can Behringer eurodesk SL2442FXPRO insert connector used as a direct-out with signal interruption? As i know Mackie CFX serious is ok
And do u guys think the between in of Behringer and Mackie console is very big?

any tips on making a recorded track less 'roomy':

I have a sound recorded in a small to medium size room, with a stereo mic set-up, about 6 feet away from the sound source.

I'm running Cubase SX3. I'm using the internal monitoring but I don't think it's working correctly.

I'm looking to not spend a whole lot, and would like a new one so i don't get a damaged used one. I'm an Emcee, and would like a keyboard for some pretty good bass and synth sounds. I make my beats with reason, so the beats on the keyboard don't have to be great. I'm looking to spend under 300. The Alesis Micron is just a little too pricey for me at 400. Thanks.
