Im relatively new to recoridng live music, but i recorded an event last night at my local school, with a stereo mix out of the sound deks and played it back today and the the levels are up and down, it was a musical and goes from songs to vocals.

I have had an itch to buy a bass guitar for some time now. I don't play bass and have no specific need for a bass guitar...it's just something that I've been wanting for the last year or so.

i'm sure this has been asked a million times, but it's not a question that seems to lend itself to the search engine very well...

but who's got suggestions here?
usb& firewire, 7200 rpm of course, quiet (silent?),
here's the clincher- bus powered.
as far as capacity goes, bigger the better.

any one know where I can find some free samples?
I am trying to build a metal kit for a current project.

Well I pulled the trigger last night on the Bay..
And landed a Ramsa WR-T820..
I remember Reading on here that someone said they were a nice hidden secret in console and could get the cheap..Well cheap was just what I got it for...

Hello all, I need a mixer for under $270, and which one of these is better?
The Behringer 1832FX or the Mackie DFX12?

or suggest something else?
(preferrably something that can control the DAW software mixer too?)

I'm hoping someone may be able to help.
I can't seem to be able to drag and drop my track mixer window in Logic

I have for a long time thought that my mixes would be better if I had a treated room and a better set of monitors. So here is my thought, I have a spectrum analyzer with a calibrated microphone, what if I play Pink Noise through my Nuendo set-up and out my monitors in my room and saw what my room and monitors were doing to the pink noise.

These are questions I have concerning "in the box" mixing, since I've never heard them answered satisfactorily before:

I have been having a lot of trouble with CPU errors during playback in pro-tools so I want to ask what the hardware buffer in pro-tools should be set to for recording and for playback.
