Here's the scenario,

I was asked to produce a song - I didn't have anything to do with the recording of the music, but I arranged to get the artist on the song. I did no writing with the artist... but i will be the one to mix the track.

The song is to be put on the artists upcoming LP, my question is, what rights do i have and how do i get a piece of this action?

I’m looking for a fast AVI to WMV conversion program. I want to encode some AVI files. I searched and tried some trial versions, but they are really very slow. They take about 25-minutes to convert AVI video to WMV. Is there any program that can do it faster? Thanks!

The D/A that I'm using is a Lucid DA9624. I'm wondering how much WORSE this is compared to a dedicated headphone amp like the Grace m902.

Yesterday I came up with this idea of taking digital audio, expand it to twice the duration (equals half-speed), still keeping it at 16bit-44KHz and record this halfspeed material onto a Revox B77-mkII at 3,75"/sec.

okay i got a mxl 3000 which I'm upgrade pretty soon to a at3035 or a MXL V69 Mogami Edition...I'm still thinkin over sum other mics...but i also got a mbox 2 and a pair of KRK RP8 Rokit Powered 2-Way Active Monitors...i wanted to know what else well i need to have something pretty close to that pro sound..any suggestions would help..

- Mixer Phonic 1002 (phantom power)
- Yamaha P5 Active Monitor Speakers

whats the difference in sound generally?

and though i know ultimately i should try out pres for myself, which type would you suggest for recording vocals and acoustic guitars for a singer/songwriter and why? (any mic info would be great too.)
