Currently using garageband and a bit underwhelmed by the guitar amp simulators. Im not in an environment where I can mic an amp up so need to find something good.

How would i typically do this?
My preamp is an old mesa boogie studio pre.
It has mono send and stereo return.

Well this is my screw up but in a hurry I mixed down my audio to record the drums too but after I got home I realized that it's not going to fit in my DAW with the unmixed full tracks, is the only way out to rerecord the drums?

I didn't know where to ask this since I'm more into wildlife and outdoor recording. I was wondering for a low budget studio what are some good sound cards for my computer and editing software. I just started the outdoor recording and am using a Tascam DR-05. I have the onboard audio in my computer and am using Audacity as an editor.
