The situation: $2000 budget to do one of three things

a) Expand my current setup, which is Logic Express 7 (on an IMac G5) with an MAudio MobilePre USB interface. For this I'd probably look into a MOTU 896, but suggestions are welcome. $1000

b) Forget about Logic and go with a Pro Tools Digi 002 rack setup. $1200

Hi, I want to buy some good headphones, but i cant find any good review or chart for headphones,... for me, I'm in between the Roland Rh200, Sennheiser HD25, or the Beyer Dymanic DT-770, but I'd like to hear what U think,... just post a list of headphones you prefer and which ones would you buy, some prices,...

and we are talking about wide frequency range, flat headphones.

Whenever i burn a CD it plays fine in any CD player whoever if i go to extract the audio from the CD to another computer or back to my own computer it sounds drastically different (not the mix but the quality) I've sent off masters to be duplicated and been asked for a new one because it sounds different and contains data glitches, i burned the CD at 2x and it's still glitching, any thoughts?

I'm currently using ACID PRO 5.0. I'm familiar with the technical terms to describe this problem, but basically when I record only one of the columns in the monitoring box is picking up the sound. When I play back the sound is only playing out of my left speaker. Additionally, after I record only the top half of the wav has peak marks.

I snagged a pair of 'as is' NS-10MS off ebay last week and they finally arrived. Upon inspection and a quick test, the left monitor is in very good condition and both speakers are working properly. Very excited about that. The right monitor, however, needs a bit of work. Not a big problem...I wasn't expecting a perfect pair for $300 shipped.

And, I am not surewhy it does it as I, simply am waiting for the time when I can afford a replacement cooling solution in my hoss DAW I built myself but which had the "Evercool" chosen as its cooling solution..(wc-201)which(I learned) is an "unreliable" :oops: solution..er that is to say I will make account for its reliability, this way...

Well this might be a stupid question...but I really don't know much about this. I have been messing around with recording myself and my band for about 3 years now. I have decided that I want to put out a CD of my own songs. mainly for my friends and family (and who ever else wants it) I will be doing all of the recording/mixing/mastering/artwork/packaging blah blah blah myself!

Okay, getting beyond the huge price of admission for these plugs, I can only simply state that these plugs are without a doubt - the real deal.
