midrange ad/da converter recommendations
Forums
Hi,
I'm new here... just wondering if anyone might want to share their views on 'real world' converters. I do full band recording, rock and metal...usually 8 tracks for drums, plus scratch vocal, guitars, and bass. So I need 16 in, minimum. Here's my setup right now:

How can i record just guitar and no other tracks when playin
Forums
I've recorded a drum track in Sound Forge and when i save it as a wav i want to play along with guitar plugged directly into the comp and it always records both guitar and drums. I want to play along and have it only record the guitar track so i have separate tracks. Anyone know? (sorry i'm new at this)

ADAT and sonar
Forums
question for yous guys, i just purchased an ADAT xt, and i also use sonar3 producer. i dont use an external mixing board, just the one in sonar. i was wondering if there was any way to slave the ADAT to sonar. what I'm wanting to do, is do all the mixing, eq, and effects in Sonar but record to the ADAT. is this possible? my motu828 has ADAT outs if that helps any?

Neotek Series I or II vs Ghost w/ Burr Brown IC's vs DDA
Forums
Hi all.
Trying to figure out what console in the $5k - $7k range for mixing. Good eq and routing options are a top priority.
Actually, add a Trident Series 65 to that list.
Also, there are lots of different DDA models, and I don't know which ones are the good ones.
