I'm trying to record live stuff, and I'm plugin my laptop inito the same place ans the board(Yamaha o2R96...it's awesome) and I'm using a home version of Sound Forge(it sucks. I want the full version). I'm using an RCA to 1/8" cable to the input on my Dell Inspiron 8200. For some reason, I still am getting a buzz from the power.

i was wondering what the benchmarks are for the variose p4 and athlon64s is their a site that is dedicated to benchmarks in the audio side of hareware?

On the sevendust album "animosity". does anyone have any idea how they got that kick sound, its HUGE and full of very nice chunky bottom. i'm takin a guess at this but sounds like they had a speaker woofer or something, i have no idea though, just wondering if anyone would happen to KNOW what they used on it. or have some ideas on how to get somethig simalar. thanks

Has anyone here used either of these? I downloaded the free versions tonight and have been messing around with them for the past few hours. So far, they seem to be pretty deicent programs. I also downloaded Traktion earler today too. Im re- deciding which DAW i would like to purchase at the moment because i have just recently decided not to go with Cubase SX.

this is probably a silly question but has anyone with a digi 001 rig upgraded from LE 5.1 to LE 6.X recently? Does the track count increase from 24 to 32 with the upgrade or just the interface etc? I have a mate who is selling his cheap and I was thinking of getting it as a backup or mobile rig.

all this talk of how important monitors gave me the ambition to sample some of them. i went to the local sam ash and guitar center here in good old mayfield ohio and to my incredible disbelief, the workers were useless. how typical.

i finally had the chance to spend a couple of hours comparing Genelec 1031s with tannoy ellipse 8s and Mackie hr824s. it's amazing how u can read and read and end up more confused than ever, yet after 2 hours listening it all seems to make sense.
