my issues are complex in nature to the point it is sometimes difficult to clearly impart my question/s
But I am composing a somewhat complex structured quere, or thingy whatchma kawlett.. just needing to ask a number of things
together in an understandable way since my problems require it, as I can best detect..

I know PreSonus has a decent preamp reputation, and I like that there aren't any superfluous features that distract from the primary purpose, which I suspect helps keep the price low.

Anyway, it looks like the FirePod is generally available now. Has anyone had a chance to try it out? I'd like a second opinion before it seduces me.

I have made my decision on a board and now I am thinking of rather than recording straight to a DAW using my current MOTU 828 that I would get an Alesis HD24.

Or is it just too old and not really useful for recording anymore ?

I am opening a cafe_coffee shop that will feature music on the weekends. I have purchased an mx2424 and plan to use the direct outs on a Midas venice to feed the recorder. There are 2 rooms that will be used for recording. One room is larger than the other and both have venice consoles...320 and 240 respectively (all recordings are live).

hello, people. This issue may have been addressed sometime before, but it is of dire importance to me.

When mixing, does anyone feel as though they have a dominant side/ear? Meaning, is there a side (L-R) that you sort of build your mixes around when you pan and mix? Do you find yourself putting a favorite track on a specific side and than building your mix around that?

Machine: 3Ghz, 2GB RAM, motherb:P4P800-E
Running XP.
Darla 20 and a Realtek AC97 soundcards.
Driver: 6.08 from Event.
(Realtek uses PCI 0 device 31, Darla uses PCI 2 device 10)

hey gang, i know someone selling a pair of atc scm 20a's, but they are the "home entertainment" version, not the "professional" version. from what i've heard, a lot of companies that make monitors use the exact same speakers for their home theatre range as their studio monitors, but with a different finish to make it look more lounge-room friendly. does anyone know if this is true of the atcs?

I have one MAJOR problem!
