I want to buy a Mixer for my home studio that will be used to record artists in the near future that is capable of achieving professional results.

Im basically after something small.. I feel that 14 channels would be enough for the time being...I'm willing to spend about 300-350 (ebay figures lol) any recommendations?

anyway, has anyone here got the DSP24 MKII soundcard? I've been looking at reviews, and they're all VERY good. any opinion about it?

i currently own a Q10 soundcard (8 mic preamps) that sounds ok. I could get a really decent recording out of it. The thing is, i would like to get 2 channels of better sounding pre's. Was thinking of the 2000e. The only recording i do with more than 2 mics are drums. This means i would have 2 overheads in good preamps and the 4 other mics in decent pres.

Does the Recorderman Method (© & TM, etc) work with hypercardioids? :D

I have a small understanding of the technical side of recording and it’s so frustrating when I recorded something really good then I screw it up by mixing it wrong.

Hi, I have a problem with wiring my setup for multi-track recording. I currently am running a 24-track Behringer mixer, and mixing down into two tracks which run into a Delta 1010. Then, that runs into my computer via the PCI card included with the interface. All of the audio is mixed with Sonar 3 Producer Edition.

Looking for some help on deciding what software & media would enable me to come out with the best recordings possible.

My set-up is: 2 Turnatbles going to a mixer, out of mixer to a M-Audio USB sound card, then USB to my laptop. This set-up is so i can record my mixes then burn onto CD.

I saw a topic, which someone is asking why they signed, and I didn't,. well... 2 years ago, I signed w/ WEA. they released our album, they made a single and one video. . but we try don't push too hard, we did almost everything that they wanted... that was the first mistake...
