which of the 2 have better converters?
i use a 1010 right now and it sounds great.. but affter running a session at my friends studio with a digi002R.. the digi seems a little warmer. i get a cleaner upfront sound with it..
they both have very low noise floors..

My buddy Paul, bass player I played in two bands with, came over to help with the project at hand: watching five or six hours of live Led Zeppelin and drinking all the beer in the fridge (and most of the vodka).

is there a simple (software?)way to show/measure how much jitter there is in one's digital system (DAW mac, external AD converter feeding DIG in on soundcard)?

Tracks 1 & 2 are eclectic pop/folk. Track 3 is emo/punk

Has anyone used or heard about this unit? I'm assuming Aardvark is low grade stuff, but i dont have $2500 to spend on a one channel mic preamp at the moment.

Any comments and reviews are appreciated!

I'm buying a new computer and i would like to know what are the most important components for a great DAW. I was thinking of boosting RAM, great processor and 2 hard-drives. Are ther other important things to consider?

Until more converters arrive I hope to put in an Audiophile 2496 for 2 more inputs and use it for scratch tracks. Problem is I don't think I can clock it.
It's only source is the S/PDIF in and my only S/PDIF out is used for 2track montoring. I don't have a toslonk to S/PDIF converter and have to have a solution by Satruday.
