ATA 100 vs. . 133 question.
I've seen that many people use in their DAW the Asus MB. And i've seen too, people asking for advice to build a new DAW, and saing that they have bought HDD WD 80 GB ATA 133. So i've check Asus site and i find that only the PC800 Delux with the Intel 875P have support for ATA 133 in "RAID mode".

YEAH for the RIAA
Well YOU may not like it.
But I make my living solely from recording. I'm raising a family doing it. So ANYTHING that might help curb illegal downloading (at this point) is fine by me.
Stealing is wrong. Rationaliztion has become way too prevalent.

outdoor EQ help requested
Would appreciate any words of wisdom regarding FOH and monitor mix guidelines for the following outdoor gig I am helping put together. Our band is playing in the backyard with the equipment and sound facing away from the house to a large open area with a row of tall trees about 75 feet back. We'll be using a couple of JBL 925's (2 way 15") with a powered sub for FOH.

Mogami 75ohm cable
Hi folks
Anyone have opinions about this cable?
It's quite thin and flexible, doesn't feel like solid core. The number on the cable is 2964. It also says 75 ohm hi definition audio/video cable on the jacket.
This stuff is way more managaeable than RG6 or RG59.
Is this what you folks use for S/PDIF?
thanks Roly

Recorderman's Drum O/H setup.
I did my first major drum Micing the other day and used Recorderman's technique.
I had a hard time getting the over the shoulder microphone to be the proper distance from the kick when using the mic cable to measure..any thoughts on achieving this would be cool. I was only using one heavy duty mic stand with a custom 2 foot spacing bar that had the swivel extensions on the end...

Starting a pc studio
I trying to build a rap studio through my computer. Thus far i have been recording on a ten dollar mic and the sound quality has been ok, but I'm looking to expand and get a legit studio.
Please list where i should start and the equipment i need, price isn't a major concern. Thank you very much

Odd Popping Sounds during recording
Howdy.
I've got a problem of my new setup making popping sounds when I record.(correction: when RECORDING, I can actually SEE the "pops" in the waveform, but I can't actually HEAR it, until PLAYBACK).

burning DVDs
hi all,
i'd like to find out what software you're using for burning DVDs (most popular/reliable/the best)
i've bought a Sony DRU500A as OEM so no bundled software.
initially, i just want to burn data DVDs for archive and tranfer.
someone told me about "veritas primoDVD v2": would that be a recommendation?
