I am getting ready to build a PC for audio. I have been doing some research and here is what I have decided on. Please take a look and tell me if you see any problems with this design or anything I am missing or should consider.

Wow, I just bought a lovely SansAmp bass driver. Beautiful tone. I turn up the tone on the bass and driver to get that lovely high-endtwang I want from my bass.

I've read and tried this one senario where if you have multiple sound cards in your setup, and you need to lock them together through some means of syncronization other than the BNC connection, would it be ok to substitute the SPDI/F connections? I understand that without this distribution, your recorded audio is subjected to drifting, pops, & etc.

Out of all of what's on the market (native audio), I personally think that the MOTU products are very close in spec's to that of Avid's Digidesign Pro-tools hardware. I wish their products did'nt cost so much, but then again, you get what you pay for. So in essence, we're paying for the converters and everthing else is just thrown in. The others on the market are for us budget minded folk.

I have Edirol MA-10D monitors and
SoundBlaster Audigy 1 with a fire wire connector on the far side.
It HAS a digital out and its orange color coded and 3.5mm.
I found 6' of coaxial digital audio cable (Koss)
at the local radio shack.
They had one adapter from coax to 3.5mm but it has only 1 line across.

I know the hardware has some sort of governing factor in this senario. Does the software play any part in this? :confused:

A question for all you Studio Drummers. I run a small studio and record mostly Hard Rock and Metal bands. What are the best heads to suggest for my clients for the recording sessions?

You mentioned a while back about someone on this forum was going to come to your studio and bring a Great River 2NV to do a side by side comparison with the Sebatron . Did that ever happen and if so what came out of the test?
