AKG coming out with a "new" 451

AKG is going to make a new version of the 451. No teeny threads on the capsule. I think they will be non-removable capsules, cardioid only (BOO).

The electronics are descended from the AKG Blue Line, and there will be 2 low cuts, and a 2 position attenuator, unlike the screw-in capacitive pads that Stephen Paul says messed up the frequency response on original 451's.

Sound, Video, game etc.

I just installed XP...everything is great so far. However, under the Device Manager and under Sound,video... there is one of the Yellow Exclamation symbols on a "unknown Device" there are no drivers for it...is that normal? I thought if there was NO device it would not even show up? Or is it just saying there is space for something else?

New FREE newsletter

I am starting up a brand new free email newsletter dedicated to tips on recording. The idea is to bring you pearls of wisdom from both professional and amateur recording engineers and artists to help you get the most out of your equipment.
I am looking for articles to put in the newsletter - the author getting a plug for their latest project, or whatever they like.

ASIO ?

I know I asked you this before so please give me a refresher.

When Setting up ASIO MultiMedia Setup...What should be checked and what should not be checked?

Kind of off topic..When I use SYstemWorks Speed Disc now with Win XP and 2K it takes much longer than it did with 98 and ME...Do you know why that is?
