TC Powercore with Digi001
Forums
I just spoke to TC about this. It seems they have Logic 4.7.3 running with the 001 and a Powercore card just fine on a Mac. :D
I never thought it would happen. Version 1.5 will include some extra plugins. They're also introducing the PC version of the Powercore in December.
Of course, the likelihood that the Powercore will ever work with PTLE is next to zero...

Any Opinions on an Otari MX70 1" 8 track?
Forums
I have a chance to pick one of these up locally for a great price from a trusted source, but I've never used/heard one yet. Anyone have any experience/comments about this machine? I am only familiar w/ the MTR series. Any similarities sonically? This is just for home use (right now I've got the whole FATSO and HEDD to DAW thing happening and am looking at this machine for cutting drums).

Full Sail Engineering School?
Forums
Hey what's going on...it's your friendly amateur beat maker. Look, i'm interested in going to this school for the recording arts, FullSail Real World Education..that's the tag. It's $25 grand a year but i'm interested in hearing weather you professionals recommend it? How did you get started and what do you look for in engineers aspiring to work for you in your studio?

HD Cluster Size?
Forums
I am trying to format my 2nd hard drive that will be soley dedicated to my audio files. I have read that it is best to format this drive as a FAT32 drive, and that I should add a switch to the format command as:
format D: /z:64
to get 32K clusters.

Memory Chip Installation Order
Forums
Putting together my new box tonight :D
I have heard Opus talk about a specific order to install memory chips. I have 2 128 MB chips and 1 256 MB Chip (all PC 133). Which sticks should go closest to the CPU...smallest or biggest?
Thanks
DH
