Us keyboard Composers
Well, my system is now 90% midi, just tracks for an acoustic guitar, some vocals, Sax solo..thats all. Now my midi friends, let's share some of the technique that we use to beef up our sampled sounds in a mix. We don't have acoustic problems to deal with, but sometimes some samples can sound a little bland. I'll share 1 of the things that I do.

Writing Patch Lists
I'm having difficulty creating a working patch list for a Technics PR307 keyboard, to be used in Digital Orchestrator.
The root of the problem is that the PR307 uses the same patch numbers for all the instruments in a group (all the organ voices, for example use patch number 7). The variations are selected by means of LSB abd MSB values.

Recording live with CDR?
Which is the better median to record live? A free standing unit like a Tascam CDR5000 or a computer based unit?
This is in a church and the primary is vocal. If I go with the computer, what software allows you to record on the go?
We also have a P133 sitting around with a 20GB HD in it and 64 meg of ram. Is it usable?
Any advice would be appreciated.

TMD8000 MMC question
Hi,
I've been using Cubase for a couple years now (PC, but don't hold it against me), and currently have the latest version of VST32. I want to use the transport controls on my Tascam TMD8000 for Cubase, but no one seems to know how. So let's see if someone on this new site can step up and figure it out. Thanks in advance...

Looking for sequencer
I'm looking for a sequencer with the following features:
- Either PC or hardware
- Pattern based
- Sync to MTC/SMPTE or has own smartsync
- Can switch on and off patterns/channels while running
Is there anything like this around?
Any suggestions?

audio moves when cut?
Hello group, my name is Ken Basman. I am using Cubase 4.1/24 on a 400mhz G3, with a MOTU 1224 interface...that said, I was wondering what solutions/workarounds people have for the problem that audio when snipped in the arrange window will occasionally move...disabling snap to zero helps somewhat, but only somewhat...OK 'nuff said...any takers?
Ken
