To accelerate or not to accelerate, that is the question. I've read in several different optimization documents that is is wise to reduce the video acceleration on DAW machines, maybe even turn it off. I'm having trouble understanding how this helps.

I am still in pusiut of the perfect set-up for mobil yet versatile A&V recording. And really appreciate objectinve advice.
Computer is Powerbook Firewire, CPU500, 384MB RAM.
I am currently experiencing the MOTU-828 because of it's FW interface. I have used a few SW apps, but am pretty sure that PTools is the ware for me.

Can anyone please give me some tips and techniques for syncing up audio tracks? I'm using Nuendo, which I love very much, but I'm having one helluva hard time getting my audio tracks syncopated and tight with each other. I'm doing the sound effects for a driving videogame and need advice on choosing a mic to record the car sounds.

I posted this on musicplayer and I'm posting here because hopefully it'll reach more people and so I can get as much advice and suggestions as possible. So, if you read or respond to my thread on musicplayer thank you and you do not need to read beyond. right. here. :).
