Safety first
Hi All,
Hope you're all staying safe in these new unknown times. Pay attention to what actual professionals tell you, stay safe. My wife and I are trying to deal with all this and a house move (again, I know). New house is in a lovely quiet country village. I am so looking forward to the quiet and more room. Yes, I will have a bigger studio area again.

iZotope Nuetron 3 Elements not hearing audio
This plugin is supposed to listen to an audio clip (like Melodyne does) and make corrections based on that. But it just stays on the "Waiting for you to play audio..." screen. I apologize if this is the wrong place to post but I didn't see any other forum for, let's say plugins/software. I can't find an iZotope owned forum either.

Copy elicenser to another usb pen
I've noticed my official pen is breaking apart and looks a little bent. I'm assuming I've knocked it when arsing around with my pc. The pen works but I would rather not risk its longevity so I'm wondering if I can copy it to something like a kingston/SanDisk pen? You can get official pens but £20 seems a tad high for what it does.

Tannoy Precision 8D monitor with stiff woofer?
I have an old set of Tannoy Precision 8D monitors that were stored for a long time and I want to get them back up and running. One had a bad amp. So I found a replacement amp and bam it sounds fantastic..the other one was working but sounded...well small. I didnt think much of it. Then I compared the two and realized I was getting almost zero low end.
This is what gets me going!

Bought an expensive PA, and now Corona Virus has appeared!
Just after Christmas I decided to bite the bullet, and buy the new loudspeaker system I'd been trying to decide about. I'd been provided with this system on a job last summer, and really liked the sound. My research showed it to be a Marmite product -loads of people hating it with a passion and the rest loving it. As I'd heard it and liked it, I do what I always do and go with my gut.

Covers - or copies for tracks. How do you do yours?
I produce lots of copies of songs mainly for theatrical or stage type shows. Over the years I have a pretty standard workflow, but while doing one today, I wondered if others do it my way or have their own system that might be better?
I always use the original song as a template. I tend to do the trickier bits in short chunks. So playing along with the real thing is pretty critical.
Waves, you can't live with them and you can't. .
Not for the first time and I hate myself for it. I had to format my pc due to some issues that are now sorted. And I'm sure many people will know what's coming next. Waves (not so good) licence.
