i cant sync 003 with my silverface octopre. its been fine for many years and I just changed the ADAT lightpipe cable to see if that helped. NADA! Everything is set up right in PT and i select the ADAT for the souce clock in PT but it now gives me a "Problem with clock source clock" or something.

I am looking at upgrading my computer to 8 cores.
i am wondering whether there are any windows based motherboards that support dual cpus? similar to that of the mac pros.

I'm currently using a M-Audio Fasttrack USB with my Yamaha HS50Ms. Whenever I play back music, whether it be from a movie, Cubase, Audicity, or mp3s, I get this really LOUD static noise that will randomly blast out at me during a track. This happens with headphones plugged in as well.

There are times when I wonder why people can't make good recordings on the least expensive, entry level devices? There are times when I wonder why people can't make good recordings when they only have the mere basics of equipment? Here is a couple of examples of basic & simple all mixed live on the fly. That poor little fly never knew what squashed it.

I'm trying desperately to get an internship there.. i know they have multiple studios there.
Is there anyone here with information on the spot?
