How to determine cause of guitar hum?

We've been trying to solve a hum problem. We know it's not the guitar (archtop with set in humbucker) because the hum only occurs in one particular place in the room. If we move the guitar even a couple feet away, the hum stops. Discovered that the hum is negligible when using a wood bridge and wood tailpiece. Worse with metal bridge and metal tailpiece.

Mechanical Noise with Ferrograph Super 7

I have a vintage Ferrograph Super 7 model 7504 that I haven’t played for a while. I got it out again, loaded a tape and started it. I know that it has been a while since I used it, but playback at 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 there is a loud mechanical noise ... louder at 7 1/2. At 1 7/8 it is not too loud.

Slow export time in Samplitude Pro X4

Greetings friends!. This is my first comment / question I hope you can help me a little.
I had the opportunity a couple of weeks ago to record a symphony orchestra added to a live band. A total of 64 channels were recorded through 2 Beheringer mixers (X32).
Now that I'm finishing some of the mixes, with many processes on almost all channels, the export time is very slow.

Long runs of unbalanced cable.

Hey i may have to run some 25-60ft runs of cable from an unbalanced source (cassette machine, reel to reel, Tascam m-30 mixer, record player) to the converter. The sources are on RCA type connections with 1/4" or XLR on the converter depending on what model i get. Im trying to transfer some tapes and records to digital, some personal, some commercial stuff.
