Ok,

I'm posting this so someone else can perhaps learn from my mistakes and also just to vent. I will tell you one thing up front. I blame myself for 95% of the situation I am in now.

I'm recording using an alto am7 placed about an inch from my guitar amp center, the mic is plugged directly into my laptop and I'm using Audacity to record. I'm not expecting brilliant sound but every time I record it starts off fine for about 3-5 seconds then dies out and becomes very quiet and wet sounding.

I'm doing a research project into binaural and holophonic recording for my final year project.

i have a set on in ear binaural microphones (SP TFD 2 mic binaural set) and did a preliminary recording earlier where i just placed the mic's inside my ears and recorded then played back

I'm sure that this topic has been beaten to death, but I'm wondering what the latest opinion on the matter is.

I've owned Bose Triport for nearly a decade and they have been great (I currently have the 2nd most recent model). I've gone through several pairs over the years through wear and tear, but have been able to get them cheaply replaced through Bose.

I am a hobbyist musician, and I enjoy recording as well. Based on my current set up, I am curious where I might be able to upgrade for better performance/less latency.

Interface:
Tascam US-144 USB

This is really really basic -- how do I record a video of me and include the audio? Do cams come with mics now-a-days so the music is synced with the video?

Has anyone ever used the Sony MDR-V150 studio headphones for there home studio or pro? It seems like these headphones for the price is very popular so I assume most people like them. I did recently got them for free basically since I had a $20 promo discount from Amazon. Amazon was selling them for $15.35.

Here is my situation... I am an artist that has started a Indie Label-an S Corp. I've spent a lot of money in the past year putting my project together as well as costs to get the company up and running (recording studio mostly). All expenses were under my name, not the company credit card that I JUST got.

After many years recording 100's of great bands, film scores, etc we finally decided to pull the plug and take the studio apart. The gear and mics will all go easily. no problem, but what to do or how to sell all the Mogami cable with Edak and XLR, 1/4" ends is my quandry. There is a lot of cable and it is all in great condition.
