I recently bought a bunch of things for my recording studio including, an antares avp-1, Focus rite ISA one, and an ART VLA II tube compressor. I have a 48 point patchbayin which I have the aux sends and returns from my Alesis multimix16 as well as the outs and ins from all above said unit connected to.

I have a couple of choral music cassettes which were semi-professionally recorded by our church long ago.

I would like to have them digitized and any necessary EQ / noise reduction performed, so that I can burn a few CD-Rs for church members.

I'm shopping for a nice preamp.

Ive had so many problems with this thing I dont remember how long its been since I could depend on it. These are pertaining to the Mic Input...Instr Input seems to work fine.

...made me wonder what others are doing with their pan settings. I just finished reading the section on pan laws in Roey Izhaki's book Mixing Audio. He indicates the main pan laws are -0 -3 -4.5 and -6dB, and explains that for most stereo mixing, -3dB is probably what we are looking for, but I am always curious about rogue values and settings, and the people who might use them.

Hi, I'm recording and bouncing drum beats from my mpc in Pro Tools 7.4. The sound quaility is good when i record it but after I bounce to my computer the sound is very poor (sounds like its blown out). Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can solve it? Thanks.
