Hi there, I've a complete newbie question, I want to record a Retreat, basically a single speaker and about fifty guests, I'm trying to source the best audio equipment to produce an optimum recording for distribution on DVD or just to convert it for internet broadcast.

The set up at the moment in the Retreat house is as follow;

I am trying to track down a specific Flying Faders System. It was sold sometime in 2006 and may have been sold as a part of a custom 80 series Neve frame. The frame was customized to hold 48 1081s and had a custom monitor section designed by Steve Firlotte (Inward Connections) and Ian Gardener (Boutique Audio).

Hi, newbie in many ways here.

I am using Garageband to pitch bend an imported audio file. However, on some of them, even when I am only going down a half step, there is distortion in the sound. Basically, it sounds like intense vibrato in the piano or guitar.

This isn't so much a question as a story about what I've been up to the last few days. See, as recently as Sunday I ordered up an Alesis 3630. I gather the opinion of it is that it's fine until you want it to "crunch". We'll see how it stacks up with more cheap gear when it arrives. Exciting, really :)

I recently bought a zoom R16. I used a Line6 toneport (UX2) before. I'm wondering if there is a way to daisy-chain them together so i can record 10 tracks simultaneously. I've spent most of the afternoon trying to figure out a way so I'm assuming it's not possible, but if anyone has any tricks please let me know. Thanks.

I wanna enhance my mh uln 2 using an additional D/A converter via AES/EBU.
Any suggestions that are comparable with the ULN2.

i want to start recording demo's for my 5 piece alt.rock/indie/power-pop band, i have $500 to work with, i already own a Yamaha 12 channel mixer(102C), a laptop, Sonar Calkwalk 8.5 producer, and an SM58. i know ill need a interface, mics, etc, but i need advice on the best bang for my buck, etc.
