Not that we need another Mod, especially in our DAW Pro Audio Forum. hueseph and TheJackAttack certainly have this place running so smooth and are exceptional in all respects. I/ we love these guys.

Experience with Focusrite octopre? not MkII
Forums
Im doing some recording this weekend (drums) and I know have a Focusrite octopre in my arsenal. What are everyones experience with the octopre? its seems as though there are not many switches or knobs per channel and seems fairly easy to use. Just would like to see what some pro's or home studio guru's had to say. Thanks.

Reaper for hybrid DAW
Forums
Just wondering if Reaper is suitable for a hybrid daw?
The new version looks better than ever, however, my needs are a solid midi foundation and the ability to send analog groups out for external summing.

My High School Variety Show, & the dream.
Forums
Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have been researching the tech of music for a bout a year, picking up gear like a Firestudio Mobile, Sm58, and other ways to satisfy recording needs. Recording.org was the forum that seemed to have a Live Sound community. Cutting to the point..

Big monitors
Forums
I have a fairly well put together studio with a couple of pairs of small monitors, but occasionally I like to crank up a song. (to impress myself as well as clients and friends) What do you use or suggest for large monitors. I haven't put much thought into a budget, mainly because I'm not sure of pricing on bigger monitors.
All replies are appreciated.
Thanks, Tony

Shure SM 57 Grille on an SM 58?
Forums
Yo, broke student soundie here! At the moment, i'm Micing a snare drum with an old Shure 515SD and an SM58 with no grille (I have SM58s coming out of my ears, bought a job lot about a year back!) As you can imagine, this isn't ideal, for aesthetics, or if the drummer decides to whack it!
