I need a little help choosing audio interfaces as there is a lot of conflicting info out there and I am pretty confused .

Do I keep using my computer to record using an interface with firewire connection, or do I buy a multi-track recorder? I get great sound out of both, but what is the best way?

Hey everyone... I'm thinking of starting an online studio (drums only). Does anyone think it would work? People would email music, ideas, etc. and I would record the drums and email them the final result. Anyone have any suggestions or criticisms?

I work at my fathers studio. He owns a MCI JH-24, for a while it was not used much due to the inconvenience, but it sounds really good, and we are wanting to use it more. He has asked me to look into what kind of maintenance work needs to be done on it. So I am asking if anyone can refer me to any sort of text or the equivalent so i can figure out how to keep this thing in good shape.:cool:

I am having some trouble and hoping I can get some answers from some more experienced people here.
I use Nuendo III, Firestudio 26 X 26, and just bought a Behringer HA8000.
I know that I should be able to get a good headphone mix with this equipment, but I'm not.

Been using the MOTO MTP AV midi timepiece for years. I need something to sync MMC /midi clock tight and handle 3 ins and 3 outs min. I love this unit but its run its course. MOTO has the new USB version but I don't need something that elborate anymore. I'm looking at this baby brother:

I recently purchased the aforementioned mixer, but I can't seem to get my computer to process the input from the mixer. I installed the driver that came with the mixer and it appears in my audio devices, but there is no signal from it. I have a mic plugged in and I can see that the mixer's levels are processing the mic's input, but it is not going through to my laptop.
