I have a basic question about recording acoustic guitar.

I have a Digi 003 Rack, MXL 990 compressor mic, and Shure 57 dynamic mic, and a newly acquired Breedlove C25/CR.

Of course the answer is "it depends" or "whatever sounds good", but I'm wondering what some good starting points are for mic placement and setup.

I'm using this headphones (AKG K 242 HD) with my KRK rokit 6 in my home studio. It is good choice for mixing? Or if maybe not What can You advise for mixing from headphones?

Hello, I need some help. I'm looking for a decent preamp or preamp/mixer, but it has to be USB compatible, since I happen to have the late 2008 model of MacBook that doesn't have firewire (very frustrating).

Okay, I haven't come across any Aardvark Q10 threads more recent than around 2008 - so I know this is a long shot, but maybe someone can help.

Hi, I'm new in those kind of subjects, but I'm rly into it. Im intrested in overall recording. I know a bit about dynamic mics, but rly need help with rest. Sooo, i will record vocals and guitar cab.

I don't have much cash now, but i will get it soon. For now i have about 120$, and for it I'm gonna buy mic. And next month I'm gonna get 400$ and dunno on what should i spend it.

I'm interested in recording guitar and I'd like to know what will give me better results out of the two options.
An audio interface that allows me to do this or connecting to a good quality sound card via something like a 6.5mm to 3.5mm jack.

Which is better and why?
